About Us

From Spent Brass to Subtle Beauty

Metals & Pieces began on a shooting range—back in 2012.

I had just finished a round of sporting clays with my dad. He’s an excellent shot. I… hit 3 out of 50. 😅
While cleaning up my station, feeling slightly defeated, I picked up a spent Winchester AA shell and noticed how beautiful the headstamp was.

When my dad told me the brass would be thrown away, I was stunned. There had to be a better use for something that had impact—and still looked stunning.

That spark of an idea—paired with his skills as a machinist and mine as a designer—led to our very first handcrafted bullet jewelry designs. And just like that, Metals & Pieces was born.

We’ve been crafting jewelry with backbone since 2012.

What Bullet Jewelry Means to Me

To me, bullet jewelry is more than upcycled brass. It represents:

  • Class – Subtle, stunning designs that feel elevated
  • Strength – Quiet resilience, forged from impact
  • Freedom – A statement without shouting

I didn’t want my jewelry to scream “tactical.” I wanted it to whisper elegance—to be incognito, meaningful, and feel like part of a private club. The kind of piece someone notices and asks, “…is that a bullet casing?” And you just smile.

For Women Who Walk Softly—But Carry Brass

Metals & Pieces is for women who want to express identity and power through elegance—not noise.

Whether you're a sharpshooter, a supporter, a survivor, or someone who simply knows that strength can be subtle—I'm so glad you're here.

Watch the Story That Started It All

How a day at the range with my dad turned into a business that transforms spent brass into meaningful, wearable elegance.

Meet the Maker

Hi, I’m Melissa
Founder of Metals & Pieces · Designer · Bullet Jewelry Enthusiast

I believe elegance and strength aren’t opposites—they belong together. I started this journey in 2012 with a single spent shell casing, a little creative fire, and a desire to make something meaningful out of something forgotten.

Every piece I design is about quiet power—something beautiful that also carries weight. I still make each piece by hand (or obsess over it if someone else is helping 😅), and I never get tired of seeing someone discover the story behind their jewelry.

Thanks for being here. I hope you find something that speaks to your own kind of strength.
